Jane Jones Obituary

Jane Kay Jones, 80, of North Garden, Virginia died on January 13, 2025 at home. Born January 22, 1944, in Norfolk, Virginia, she was the daughter of Robert William and Mary Virginia Gardner Pebworth. She was preceded in death by her parents. Jane was the very loving and caring wife of husband Ed for 48 years. She loved her children and was an incredible mother, grandmother (Grandy Momma), sister, and aunt. Jane was a strong Christian and will be greatly missed by her family and her church family. Jane is survived by her husband Edward Ray Jones, Sr., sons Robert Wayne Hamett, Edward Ray Jones, Jr., Kenneth Edward Lucas, daughter Carrie Beth Jobe, sister Faye Markert, one niece and 3 nephews, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews. A special thanks those who prayed and treated her. She fought a long and hard battle with her lung disease, but now is in Heaven with Jesus and her loved ones that passed on before her. Memorial service will be held at Northside Baptist Church on Friday the 24th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Northside Baptist Church, Charlottesville, VA for the Russian Missionary.
