Sylvia Williams Obituary

Sylvia Christine Williams, 80, of Marion, OH, passed away at the Magnolia Terrace on February 27, 2025, peacefully. On April 23, 1944, her late parents, Vernon Raymond Plotner and Gladys Marie Snyder, would bring her into the world in Marion, OH. Sylvia would later meet and marry her late husband, Lonnie Ray Williams, on August 4, 1994, in Marion, OH. They would be by each other's side until Lonnie's passing on May 13, 2016. Sylvia worked as a quality assurance for Con Agra Snack Foods for sixteen years before retiring. When she wasn't at work, she enjoyed camping at Riverbend Campground. She loved her family, including her dogs. Cooking homemade noodles was her specialty and was always a family favorite. Dancing and singing were things she had a passion for in her younger years. In her free time, you could catch her watching T.V. Two of her favorite shows were Little House on The Prairie and the Waltons. Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Fred Franklin, sister, Wanda Ballinger, brother, Charles "Butch" Plotner, and her grandchildren, Jacob Jackson and Kendall Crawford and first husband, Wallace Franklin (they had six children together). She is survived by her son, Paul R. (Tamara) Franklin, daughters, Robin (Keith) Buck, Connie (Don) Melton, Carmala (William) Wiseman, Clara (Rick) Crawford, brother, Lanny Imboden, Jim Imboden, Art Imboden, and John Imboden, sisters, Ruth Gates, Rose Hamm, Vonda Bails, Norma Cooper, Verna Plotner, Valinda Taylor, and Ginny Collins, her 27 grandchildren and 50 great children. The Williams family would like to invite her loved ones and friends to join them for calling hours on Wednesday March 5, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a funeral service on Thursday March 6, 2025, at 11 a.m. The interment service will be immediately following the funeral service at the Grand Prairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Meals on Wheels in Mt. Gilead (Morrow County). The family would like to give a special thanks to the Pathways Hospice and nurses of Magnolia Terrace in Galion, OH. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Williams family in their time of mourning.
