Blade Trenton Zornes, 15, of Bucyrus, died, Monday, March 17, 2025.
Blade was born March 8, 2010 in Galion, the son of Shumana Zornes who loved and doted on him until her passing in 2013. He was currently a ninth-grade student at Bucyrus High School, where he enjoyed being part of the Pathway Program.
When not in school, Blade could often be found researching things on the internet or gaming on his computer, and a few of his favorite video games were Five Nights at Freddies, Poppy playtime, and Minecraft. He spent many hours cleaning fossils and fishing with his grandpa and was always up for time spent playing and laughing in the swimming pool. He enjoyed listening to Here Come the Mummies, a band enjoyed by most of his family and even attended a couple of their concerts with his auntie Stephanie. Blade will always be remembered as a very loving and polite child, who did his best to do good for others.
He is survived by his maternal grandparents, Dan and Monica Zornes; his auntie, Stephanie Zornes; dog Maggie; great uncles, Matt and Jane Holt, Randy and Tammy Zornes; great aunt, Lori Zornes as well as numerous extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Shumana; maternal great grandparents, Don and Carole Holt; great uncle, Jack Zornes and numerous extended family members.
There are no services planned at this time; however, his family will announce a memorial gathering in the future. If desired, donations can be given to Wise Funeral Service to assist with honoring Blade’s life. Expressions of sympathy, memories, and words of hope are encouraged to be shared on his guestbook page at www.wisefuneral.com.

I was Blade's Mentor at Wynford. I had the privilege for many years getting to know Blade, whether it was just talking, playing games or eating lunch together. He was funny, kind and thoughtful. At Christmas time Blade would bring me a card or gift. One of those gifts was a flashlight, which I still use to this day!! So to Blade and family, your light still shines!!

I was a friend to Blade. I met him in after school, we'd talk about gaming, because me and him would both game a lot. I also feel guilty after his death, because I feel as if I could have helped him, or let him know he has someone to talk like me. He was a kind soul and warm hearted friend always there me when I needed him.

I was a fellow classmate to Blade, he was always a hard worker, kind and polite to everyone and a smart kid. He was kind to everyone and his smile could make anyone´s day better, he had such a big heart and was friendly towards everyone. It is so sad to hear that he´s gone. Sympathy towards his family and loved ones. Rest in peace Blade.

I was Blade's kindergarten teacher at Wynford. I will always remember his generous and kind heart and his ever present smile. He was always willing to help out with adults and his classmates. One memory is when you brought your pets to visit in our classroom. Blade was so excited to share.
I want to extend my sympathy to all of Blade's family. I am thinking and praying about you at this time.
