Robert Wayne Clausheide

Evansville, IN - Robert Wayne Clausheide, 80, of Evansville, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at Solarbron.

Bob was born May 11, 1940 in Evansville to the late Gilbert and Dorothy Leah (Stanfield) Clausheide. Bob attended Sacred Heart Grade School on Evansville's west side and was a 1958 graduate of Mater Dei High School, where he lettered in football. After graduating from Mater Dei, Bob enlisted in the United States Navy and served honorably from 1960 to 1964. He married the love of his life Dyane Mathis and together they had two sons, Rob (Buffy) Clausheide and Greg (Jennifer) Clausheide, both of Evansville. In addition to his two sons, Bob is survived by seven grandchildren, Bryson Tretter, Cameron, Drake, Dylan, Berkley, Austin and Amber Clausheide; a sister, Mary K Clausheide Boes and brother, Gary Clausheide.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dyane (Mathis) Clausheide in 2013.

Bob retired from Alcoa after 35 yrs. of dedication. Bob and Dyane frequently danced the night away at Turners Club & Riverbend. He also enjoyed spending time at the VFW, AM Vets, and Funkhouser Legion Post #8.

Due to the pandemic, the visitation and Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Church will be private. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.
