Donald Elfreth Obituary

Donald Elfreth

Oaklyn - Donald Cox Elfreth, aged 84, on December 1, 2017. Late of Oaklyn, NJ, Salem County, NJ, and Raton, NM. Graduate of Collingswood High School. Served in the US Navy and US Naval Reserve during the Korean Conflict. Retired electrician from Local 98, IBEW.

A former volunteer fire fighter, a former scoutmaster of Troop 113 BSA, a life member past president and former member of the board of directors of the Salem County Sportsmen's Club, a NRA Benefactor Life Member, and a sponsor or contributor to many nature and wildlife conservation groups. Upon his retirement from Local 98, Don, an avid outdoorsman, devoted his life to the promotion of the shooting sports, wildlife management, and open space preservation.

Don is survived by his dear sister, Jean Watt; by his three children, David, Sandra Louise, and Donald Curtis; by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and by numerous friends.

Services are private.
