Amos Stimage Obituary

Amos L. Stimage II, affectionately known as Dounchy, transitioned from this life at the age of 32 on February 16, 2025. Born on February 10, 1993, in Peoria, IL, to Amos Stimage Sr. and Leatrice Carroll, Dounchy brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. There was never a dull moment with Dounchy, as he was known for his goofiness and generous spirit. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. In his free time, he loved playing basketball and football in the park with family and friends. Amos leaves behind to cherish his memories his parents Amos Stimage Sr. of Peoria, IL, and Leatrice Carroll of Milwaukee, WI; the love of his life, girlfriend Alyssia Price of Peoria, IL; and his children, Romeo Stimage and N'Kari Stimage of Peoria, IL. He is also survived by his sisters Alicia Stimage, Latika Stimage, Ebony Stimage, Brittney Mabry, Santia Brock, NaKiesha Brock, and Marshanna Edwards of Peoria, IL; his brothers Amos Stimage Jr., Tyrese Diggens, Anthony Mabry Jr., Antwon Hayes-Livington, and Nicholas Hayes-Livington of Peoria, IL; a special niece, Aniylah Stimage; special nephews Chavez and Lerone Allen of Peoria, IL; a special cousin Dominque Hayes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. Amos was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Mary Elizabeth Stimage, paternal grandfather Charlie Stimage, maternal grandmother Mary Lee Francis, two aunts Bertha Miller and Sharon Stimage, two uncles Larry Stimage and Charles Samuels, and one brother Martez Edwards.
