I'm not sure why Miss Mo popped in my head today, but she was there. I'm sure it had something to do with finding some scraps of material from some of the dresses my mom used to make for her. Loved her laughter and all that I learned from her. She was an amazing teacher and great friend to many, I know she is having fun with my mom Evelyn and Miss Betty Kropp. She is missed.

Dear John and family, I am so sorry for your loss.
I knew Anita as my brothers friend and then she became my summer school teacher in 1974 when I called her Ms. Molenda. I hated science until she made learning it fun. And boy did she!
She didn´t cut me a break either because she always messed with me in the best ways and she helped everyone learn in a fun atmosphere. What a great teacher. I bet she could be a blast with her friends.
I hope she´s at peace somewhere laughing and having fun whenever she is now.
Sincerely,
Danny Greenway

I have nothing but good memories of Miss Molenda, my biology teacher at John F. Kennedy High School. She brought much positive energy to her classes with her exceptional sense of humor. Being in her class was more like watching a Jimmy Kimmel monologue than hearing a dry science professor. I'm happy that she had a long life. But to those who were her friends, it is still too soon to say goodbye. May her soul have eternal joy in the presence of God.

I was a student of Anitia Molenda, graduating in 1974. Anita had a clever teaching style of association and memorization. To this day I remember, Mitochondria are the powerhouses of the cell. Their main function is to generate the energy necessary to power cells and... they look like a Clark candy bar. Anita made teaching fun; I loved being one of her biology students. Whenever cellular structure becomes the topic, I fondly think of her. Rest peacefully.

Mrs. Molenda was one of my teachers at JFK back in the 80's. She was one of the nicest and funniest souls. She put up with my distractions in class and her class was always a highlight of my day. Please know that as an educator she was at the top of her game and left a positive and lasting impression on me and many others. God bless her and her family. She will be missed.

Very sorry to see this loss. Anita, "Miss Mo", was one of a kind and so fondly remembered by JFK faculty and alumni. The number of lives she touched is immeasurable. I was lucky enough to be mentored by her for the first year of my career.
