Martha Barba Obituary

Our beloved mother, Martha Casanova Barba, born January 27,1942 passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at the age of 83. We are heartbroken to lose someone so special to us. She was a wonderful mother/grandmother/sister/aunt who will be deeply missed by her large and extended family, friends, and neighbors. We are consoled and rejoice in knowing that she loved and accepted God into her heart.

She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Carlos Barba, her parents Cruz Casanova and Evangelina Guerra, her siblings Guadalupe Hinojosa, Elva Morin, Raudel Casanova, and Alonso Casanova.

She is survived by her six children, Martha B. Ybarra (Robert), Carlos Barba (Eva Sarabia), Raudel Barba (Maria Diaz), Nelda Barba, Rene Barba (Paula Curtis) and Jose T. Barba (Indira Aleman). She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Aida Hinojosa, Armida Barrera, Aminta Barrera, and Amparo Lopez and a multitude of nieces and nephews from Conroe, Houston, and the Rio Grande Valley.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 5:00 pm till 9:00 pm with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. May she rest in eternal peace.
