Ann Brazeau Obituary

Ann P. (Monterosso) Brazeau, 92, of Pittsfield died Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Born in Pittsfield on March 28, 1931, the daughter of Francis and Rose (Gamari) Monterosso, she was a 1949 graduate of Pittsfield High School and furthered her education at the Pittsfield Secretarial School.

Mrs. Brazeau's forty-year working career began as a steno-typist with the General Electric Naval Ordinance Systems Division. She then spent a decade as a paraprofessional at North Junior High School, before moving on to Berkshire Life Insurance Company where she was a payment specialist until her retirement

She was a communicant at Norte Dame Church and volunteered her time working at parish funerals. She also volunteered in the gift shop at Tanglewood to support the arts.

Her husband, Norman Brazeau, whom she married October 10, 1953, died November 8, 1984.

Mrs. Brazeau is survived by her son, Michael G. Brazeau (wife, Davinney) of Raymond, NH; a brother, Frank Monterosso (wife, Carol) of Voorheesville, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Riley and Nicholas; and her niece Elaine.

She was pre-deceased by her sister, Lee Monterosso.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for Ann (Monterosso) Brazeau will be held Saturday, July 22, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery (Annunciation section, upper level) with Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor of St. Joseph Church, officiating. DERY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
