Terri-Ann Bell Obituary

Terri-Ann Bell (née Metzger) died peacefully after a brief illness on January 15th, 2024 in Baltimore, Maryland at the age of 77.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Faith-Anne Bell and Duane "Robert" Lowrey, jr.; her son, Joshua Bell; her sister, Roberta Lutz; her brother Fr. William Metzger; and her three cherished grandchildren, William Lowrey, Isaac Bell, and her namesake Elliott Terry R. Lowrey. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Bell; and three day old daughter, Maria Bell.

Terri-Ann Bell was born in 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland to William and Ann Metzger. She graduated from Mount de Sales Academy and later from the Le Millet School of Art. She was a commercial artist. After marrying and starting a family, Terri-Ann devoted her time to caring for her children. For several years Terri-Ann was also the role of caretaker of both her husband through his cancer battle and her mother who had dementia.

After her husband's passing, she raised their children on her own while simultaneously continuing to care for her mother until her passing. She worked hard at St. Agnes Rectory but also made sure her children never came home to an empty house. Terri-Ann and her children called themselves "The Three Musketeers" and were grateful to add four more musketeers to their dynamic with the additions of Rob & the boys.

Her family remembers her as vibrant, funny, strong, protective, & caring. She will be deeply missed by those who love her best. She gave quite a fight to her mortality. Doctors called her "tough" which was no surprise to her family. But in the end it was too much for her, and it was time to rejoin her beloved husband. Her children and grandchildren find comfort that they honored her wishes, & she passed on her own terms. Drawing on their childhoods when it was just the three of them, her children sang "Together Wherever We Go" to Terri-Ann as she passed.

There will be a private funeral mass at a later date. Friends and family who mourn her are asked to remember her at a mass or in their own spiritual way.
