Garry Ware Obituary

GARRY LYNN WARE

November 14, 1958 September 1, 2023

Bakersfield It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of a loving father, husband, and brother, Garry Lynn Ware, 64 years old.

Garry is survived by his wife, Debra, his sons Brandon Ware and Quinton Ware, his brother Perry Ware, sister in law, Marilynn Ware and by many family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Ware and siblings Michael Boone and Lori Gifford.

Garry grew up in Bakersfield, California with his twin brother, Perry. His life's path led him to enter the sheet metal trade with Picco & Son's Manufacturing and then on to Picco Sheet Metal Works for 43 years of service. During this time, he became a true master of his craft. Throughout his life Garry was also a talented woodworker, actor, set designer, musician, songwriter, archer, and darts player. He also loved playing chess with his boys, watching the Celtics, the Vikings, USC football games, and spending time with his pit bull named Tony.

He will be remembered for the deep love he had for his family and for his many talents. May his spirit be free and at peace, and may he know how very much he was loved.

A celebration of Garry's life will be held in our home for his family and friends on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 2:00-5:00 p.m.

I just heard and was saddened by the news of Garry's passing. I remember him from our high school years together, when he was so talented musically on the saxophone, loved band, the Vikings, Star Trek, bowling, drama and his first car a blue, 1954 Chevy. He will remain eternally young in memory, and I share my condolences with his family and friends.
