A great mate through football & other times for the last 45 years. What happened in the Dom Rep, stays in the Dom Rep! Safe travels John. Rest in peace. See you again one day., Moonie

It was with great sadness that I found out of John's passing. What a lovely man. I worked with John for a number of years. Mainly at Grove Road in Eastbourne. He was always very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He had a great sense of humour, and fun. He gave as good as he got on the joke front. Fondly remembered. RIP.

To the Greenwood Family - It's with much sadness when friends of mine (Debs, Guri) recently notified me of Johns passing. I have fond memories of John. We used to flat together with Julie and Pauline many years ago (early 1980s) in Eastbourne. We had a lot of fun together. I managed to catch up with John with a visit back to the UK and Eastbourne around 10 years ago. It was so good to see him. My condolences to the Greenwood Family.

Sad to hear of the passing of John, I will always remember you, my dad and me in the Royal Oak & Castle on a Sunday evening, you and your pint of Coca Cola me pretending it was Guinness. Rest well John.
