Peggy Morag, Annette, Joey, Angela and the family of the late Kenny Angus Mackay of Geshader, Uig would like to sincerely thank relatives, neighbours, friends and work colleagues for the many acts of kindness, support and expressions of sympathy shown to them following their recent sad bereavement.
Grateful thanks to all the staff of AAU, Medical 1, HDU, Surgical Ward, Kerrie Macleod Macmillan Nurse at Western Isles Hospital, Ward 5A in Raigmore and Langabhat Medical Practice for their exceptional care given to our dad, Kenny Angus.
We would also like to thank Miavaig Church of Scotland for the use of the church building on Friday evening for the wake and funeral on Saturday. We would also like to sincerely thank the Free Presbyterian Church for opening their church building on Saturday to offer shelter and accommodate the large attendance. We are grateful to the Rev Calum MacDonald, Rev Thomas Davis and Rev James MacDonald for their compassionate pastoral care and for officiating at the services.
Thanks to all who led the Praise and offered their prayerful support at the church services and the family home. Thanks to the office bearers for their help with seating arrangements.
Thanks to Alistair Macrae Undertaker and his staff, D I (Gisla) cemetery attendant and all who helped at the graveside. Thanks to the Uig Community Centre and catering staff.
Finally, our heartfelt thanks to all those that travelled (some a great distance) who came to pay their last respects. Your attendance was of enormous comfort to us all. A collection of £2600 was raised from funeral service this will be shared between Hebridean Men's Cancer Support Group and Macmillan.
