Dear Ruth & Samantha, our thoughts are with you both and we dearly wish we could have been present yesterday to give you both a much needed hug. We are so glad that the last time we saw Adam there was no sign of the agony he was going through.
Adam was a very special person in our life and I hope someone from the Boating Club turned up to support you. Please know you have our support and love and if at anytime we can do anything for either of you, just say the word. Our love and respect for you always. Sam you were only four years old when we saw you last, perhaps one day we can renew our acquaintance with you. Len & Julie Stott.

Adam & I were great friends & we enjoyed great times in our younger years playing squash, fixing cars, car clubs events & clowning around together.
My best memory of Adam was competing in the Nighthawk Day Rally in 1979. After watching a program on rallying we decided to convert his Holden 253 V8 Ute into a rally car. We added a roll cage, fire extinguisher, sump guard and a couple of other tweaks which was enough to allow us to compete. The spectators were thrilled by the noise & spectacular driving style as Adam skilfully drifted this huge car through the narrow tracks in the hills above Wellington. We finished in 17th place out of 34 which was an amazing achievement for first timers in a monster of a car. We were awarded two bottles of bubbly for Madness & Bravery.
Here are two photos that will remind us of these times.

Adam. Now your suffering journey is over, rest in peace AMAC. When things are quiet and dull, remember the boat trailer in the acid bath in Hamilton and the world will be filled with laughter again. Those were the fun and good times and now only lasting memories. Our love & best wishes to Ruth and Samantha.
