Steve MCCULLOUGH Obituary

MCCULLOUGH, Steven John. (47) of Auckland, passed away on 11 June 2019 after a brief but bravely fought battle with cancer. He slipped away peacefully surrounded by his family, and as always, on his own terms. Forever loved, and will be missed beyond measure. Dearest son of Moira, and the late John McCullough. Much loved brother of Kay, Jackie, Rona and their families. Our hearts and love go to the loves of his life, Deborah, and daughters, Paige and Kate. Until we meet again.

I was so impressed by Steve in a fairly brief encounter where he advised me on Kiwisaver, that I thereafter consistently recommended him to people whenever the appropriate opportunity arose.
And yesterday, May 20, 2021, my manager asked me for his name and contact details. So I was devastated to find out that he had died two years earlier.
Steve made a big impact on me in a short time. I think there aren't a lot of people I have met who I have so quickly summed up as "good people". I can't imagine the huge loss to his wife and children.

Met over a cocktail or 5 in Fiji years ago with Deb and the kids, Steve has had a big impact on our life ever since as our unflappable broker. So good at his job and such a great guy. Big in both presence and personality. We have been so very sad to hear that he has lost his fight with cancer. Sending much love to all of his family and some extra sprinkles of strength to Deb, Paige and Kate.
