I was saddened to learn of Ron's passing. He was my favourite NZ architect. Inspired by a recent house of his in the Bay of Islands. And always admiring a spectacular Tauranga waterfront home designed by Ron. Love your work! Especially those colourful doors.

My condolences,
Kristine.

Our deepest sympathy to Margaret and Ron's family on the death of your beloved husband, father and brother. Ron was an outstanding NZer who contributed so much through architecture & the arts . He will be sadly missed but many of us have his treasured books on NZ artists and Ron's work as a constant reminder of this outstanding NZer.

Dear Margret,
I am so sorry to hear of Ron's recent passing. Regretfully, we never organised our last dinner party which always had interesting participants great conversation and laughter...as I recall the last at my expense...as clearing the table my trousers fell down! It's still talked about. Ron has added so much to our culture and his generosity I will always remember him for and his lovely smile and greeting made one feel ever so important. Thank you for the opportunities and friendships you both extended.
Due to winter illnesses, I am unable to travel up to pay my respects.
My thoughts are with you Margret and your family.

To family and friends.

We remember Ron well, a man of vision, who pushed the boundaries in the creative world; he was part of our lives for some of our best years. He and Margaret, what a memorable team.
In work and play they were great times, inspirational, yes. Within the young and the not so young, his legacy will live on, and how grateful we are.

Condolences and love. Pat and John Chapple.

to Dear Margaret and family, such a tragic loss but Ron leaves such indelible memories. a special man and the epitome of a true gentleman. I distinctly remember Ron visiting me in the spinal unit and telling me I was too skinny and on his next visit he brought me "a fatty chinese curry to fatten me up". we had many memorable lunches after that. Ron will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
our love, thoughts and prayers are with Margaret and all Ron's family.

What a wonderful friend and inspiration he has been for me over the years.

Ron, you are beyond precious to so many of us left here suddenly, without the person we laughed with, ate plenty of meals with, talked to, participate in all sorts of fun activities with. You left us too soon and too suddenly.

You touched my life, as my mentor. You shared with me so much of your life experiences, and you shared with me so much wisdom from your life.

I am already missing you. Thank you for everything you have done for me. Thank you for your friendship and more. Creative Joy Studio will try to do the work you did for the arts.

I am thinking of Margaret and your family and I send my love to all of them.

Rest now, my dear friend and mentor. Rest now.

SANG, Ronald (Ron). Peacefully at home on Friday 11 June 2021 (aged 82). Much loved older brother to Robert (Bob) and brother-in-law to Lei. Adored uncle to Louise, Allan, Michele, Nick, Deidre, Scott, Stuart and George, and great uncle to 12. Kind, generous, always approachable family man whom we were all privileged to know and call family. We will miss the beautiful meals, catch ups and much laughter, not to mention the many photographs that he took on every occasion. We continue to enjoy the legacy of his amazing architectural talents with the thoughtful homes he designed and created for many of us, and his passion for the arts which will continue to influence us. We miss you so much. Forever in our hearts. Rest in peace
