Farewell big Sister. You were always a big part of my life with so much love to share. You left home for Auckland when I was a boy, but I always looked forward to your return visits and the spectacle of the steam trains bringing you home to Frankton to visit. When I was 10 and in the Pakuranga Health Camp you made the effort to come visit me which made me feel not so isolated from the family. Many years later you and Mike came and visited me in the USA several times, with the same result. A fond recent memory of mine is pushing you in a wheelchair in a warm late winter sun through Wanaka as you marveled at nature with a childhood innocence. A silver lining in this disease with which you were stricken is ,you were blessed with peace and humour, and I loved to see you laugh when we had the Zoom meetings . Although it has been hard to convey thoughts to you for some time, I have always reserved a special place in my heart for you, which is where you will now reside forever.
Your little bruvver, Denis

Rest peacefully dear Claire you were so special to me. I cherish the memories of our childhood shared - discovering the adult world together and the many catchups over the years as we crossed the ditch so many times to spend times with our families.
I am so sad and it is very difficult for me to say goodbye - I will always smile when I think of you and the love we shared. Your loving sister Maureen
