Bernie WOOD Obituary

WOOD, Bernie. Passed away at home in Whitby amongst family on Sunday 28 April 2013. A great Rugby League person and co- author of many annuals and books on Rugby League history. He came as Honorary Member of the NZ Rugby League Kiwis Association in 2007. Will be sadly missed by his many Rugby League friends throughout NZ. NZRL Kiwis Association.

He was a delightful neighbour and much loved in our street, he will be sadly missed by us all... It'll be sad to no longer see his face over the hedge, or see him out the back tendering to his blueberries and other plants... It was an honour to have you as a neighbour you always helped out wherever needed... My son will always remember the time you took out of your busy day to do an interview for his class project and we thank you for that... Rest assure Bernie, Trish is being looked after... The following is something that is dear to my heart, If tears could build a stairway, And memories a lane, I'd walk right up to Heaven And bring you home again... Forever in our hearts, sleep well, Hayles Family...
