Dear Athena and Brian
Tammy, Lucy and I have learned with great sadness today of Pat's passing and we send our heartfelt sympathy to you both.
Pat was such a lovely friend to us through all the fun and exciting years of the girl's dancing with Marie's school, to say nothing of the help she so readily gave us with the annual making of costumes for the concerts. I know too that any Mum who was needing sewing help in some way, Pat was cheerfully there and willing to give her all.
Pat was very talented with her dressmaking skills and loved being one of the dancing Mum's. I remember she always had some funny little story to tell us- the other Mum's- as we sat through the weekly class. She had a great sense of humour and I remember fondly the many laugh's we shared together.
Athena, it is so very hard to lose your dear Mum, we send our love and thoughts to you at this very difficult time.
With our love and sympathy

Dear Athena and Brian As I write these words Pats beautiful smile is beaming back at me. In all our years of living in different countries we always held each other in our hearts. Vanessa and I remember her as a great friend and of course a fantabulous seamstress who helped us create some fantastic outfits for the dancing competitions and Marie's shows. We are so glad we got to share some fun times together and Pat will always be a special memory in our treasure trove of loved ones.
Sincerest condolences, Sandra & Vanessa Bristow.

Dear Athena and Brian,
I have learned of the sad passing of your dear Pat.
Many years ago, always around the same time, (September?), I would telephone Pat. "Hello Pat", I would say, tentatively, and the person on the other end of the phone would laugh, and say, "Janet, I have been expecting your call. How can I help you?" And we would talk about costumes and sewing, and Marie's dance concert, and you lovely girls, and she would explain to me how to do the best job in whatever costume challenge I was facing. Sometimes I would even drive out to your house, and she would demonstrate the solution to my sewing problem, or offer to help me with my predicament. Her dress-making skills were legendary. Pat was always patient, kind and lenient with me, and she would no doubt be surprised to know that these days I make dozens of costumes annually. Her helpful advice has stood me in good stead.
Athena and Brian, in this challenging and sad time you are facing more challenges and sadness. Although I know Pat has not been "with you" for some time, this final goodbye from her must be hard to bear. Pat was a gracious lady, hard-working and good-humoured.
Please know that my family and I remember her with fondness, and that we are thinking of you at this sad time.
