Alister Taylor published my first book Sexist Society in 1973. He was a great publisher and very innovative at the time. I kept in contact periodically over the years and admired his contribution to New Zealand publishing. At Victoria University in the late sixties he was a bit of a her on campus as the organiser of Peace Power and Politics. And I loved the Little Red Schoolbook he published in the early seventies. It became something of a bible of mine and provoked behaviour at Secondary Teachers Training College that saw me being thrown out and paid not to attend the College. Something else I have Alister to thanks for!
