Travis Eickman Obituary

Coach was truly one of the most influential people in my life. As I continue with my last few years of High school he continues to be a driving force to work harder than I knew I could. He was one of the first people to truly believe in me and I hope to live my life to its full potential in his memory.

You are still in my prayers. May God continue to give you peace.

I feel like it was just yesterday being in Mr.Eikman's 8th period

It was my daughters first year at NBS. Coach Eickman was her favorite teacher. He was really nice to her and would listen to her. I really appreciated him.

Travis was my daughter's softball coach this past year at W T White, it's hard to believe that one so full of life has been taken so young. Our condolences to his family. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time and I'm holding you close to my heart.

I taught Travis in third grade and remember him dearly. It was wonderful to run into Mary & Scott several months ago and learn that he was teaching and coaching. I am hearbroken at the news of his death. My prayers are with his family and all who loved him.

Our hearts are broken along with yours. Travis touched so many lives from his time in the youth group at Trinity Fellowship Church, to his collegiate/football career at ULM and ultimately as a teacher and mentor. In spite of the shortness of years, Travis' memory lives on in the hearts and minds of all of us who where blessed to know him. My heart is heavy - I loved hearing Travis play our piano. The joy is knowing this is a temporary absence. We will enjoy the fellowship with Travis again, transformed and in the presence of our Lord. Praise God.....

I worked with Travis at W.T. White High School. My heart is so heavy for you all. Students are contacting me asking how something like this could possibly be true. They are afraid to write out of respect for the Family. You need to know what he can't now. He changed so many Student's lives by simply being the Man God made Him. He'll be remembered in prayers by many many faces you'll never know.

I worked with Travis at NBS in West Monroe. He was an awesome person to be around. He worked so hard and amazingly talented. He will be missed by many. My daughter thought we was a great teacher and always enjoyed his class. We are praying for your family.

I am praying for you in this sad time. I enjoyed coaching with Travis this past year. He was great working with the girls in softball and was a friend and a fabulous person.

I was so shocked and saddened when I read the email about Travis' death. I will always remember him as the precious young man who asked if he could give me a hug after I visited with him in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
