Sally Tharp Obituary

Sally A. Tharp, 69, of Anderson, died tragically on December 17, 2012, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

She was born on January 23, 1943 to Robert and Thelma (Reynolds) Wallace and graduated from Anderson High School in 1961.

Sally was employed as a seamstress at Anderson Canvas Products and Sally's Custom Sewing for over 40 years. She was an avid fishermom and would drop everything to go wet a line.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas M. Tharp of Anderson; two sons, Doug Gill of Memphis, TN and Todd Gill of Anderson; stepson, Barry Tharp of Anderson; brother, William "Bill" (wife, Cindy) Wallace of Anderson; sister, Barbara (husband, Don) Forrer of Anderson; six grandchildren, Nicole, Tiffany, Zack, Martin, Eli and Jake; five great grandchildren, Kobi, Lance, Ivy, Khloe and Kylee; and many loving and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Nina Jo Wallace.

Services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Father Robert Williams officiating. Burial will be at Cicero Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hopewell Center.
