Michael Joseph Grady, age 47, died unexpectedly at his home on September 27, 2018. He was the beloved son of Alice Louise Edson Grady of Diamondhead, Miss., and the late Mark Edward Grady of Kansas City, Mo. Michael was born in Santiago, Chile, where his father was Commercial Attache at the U.S. Embassy. He was a graduate of the Kansas City Academy of Learning in Kansas City, Mo. He had worked as a machinist at the Lear Corporation in Kansas City, Mo., and later in shipping and receiving at Off Broadway Shoes in Plymouth, Mass. Michael was an avid reader, as well as an accomplished artist. He enjoyed drawing illustrations as a cartoonist. Michael was also a sports fan and had played tennis and soccer in his earlier years. He was also a talented musician, having studied guitar as a youth. He will be sorely missed by the many hearts he touched. Besides leaving his mother Alice, Michael was the loving brother of Susanna Orcutt Grady of Rochester. He is also survived by his aunt, Mary DePrisco of Bonita Springs, Fla.; his uncle, Peter Edson of Washington, DC; cousins and friends. He was the grandson of the late Paul Grandison Grady and his wife Elizabeth Coleman Grady of Yarmouth, and the late Vice Admiral and Mrs. Stephen Reuben Edson of Chevy Chase, Md.
