Michael Borst Obituary

Michael Anthony Borst
Passed away suddenly on May, 21st, 2022. He was 41 years old.
Michael is survived by his loving parents, his mother, Julie Borst, his father Joe (Carol) Borst, his brothers, Joe Borst and Blaine (Amanda) Borst, two nieces Addison and Avery Borst, his best friend and soulmate, Sadie DeSantis, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his close group of friends who were his family.

Mike was an incredible person who could make you feel like family after just a simple greeting. He enjoyed life fully and gave the actual shirt off his back to people more than once. Mike worked hard his entire life starting in the restaurants of Chicago and working his way up to the Director of Food and Nutrition at Morrison Healthcare. Mike always had a knack for creating one liners and incredible memories with friends that will outlast time. His hugs were warm, his voice was loud, and he cared deeply for the people he loved. Grill Master Borst, StarBorst, Blueman, The Repeater, Second Husband, or Soup, however anyone referred to him, he would always have a story to tell, a smile to give, and a hand to hold.
He loved adventures, live music, grilling, camping, biking, hiking, travel, cooking and eating great food, a good happy hour, and most of all, spending time with his incredible group of friends.
Mike was recently engaged to the love of his life, soulmate and fiancée Sadie DeSantis. The two planned to continue doing life together and were thrilled to be starting their next chapter.
