Margie (McKinzie) Witt Obituary

Margie Elizabeth (nee: McKinzie) Witt passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025. She was born on March 10, 1944, to the late Winsel and Lillian (nee: Sinks) McKenzie in Poplar Bluff, MO. One year later in November 1945, James Raper became her stepfather. Margie had reached the age of 81 years.

Margie spent much of her life working hard for everything she had. She did a lot of traveling in her younger years. Once she retired, she wanted to move out to the country and really enjoy life, gardening, and making big Thanksgiving dinners every year for her family. Margie took a lot of pride in making sure her family was taken care of. She always had cats, and sadly she leaves behind three of her fur babies that she loved dearly. Margie was a strong and independent individual, and you would never know if she was going through a hard time. She was the life of a party, and her smile would light up any room. Margie always made sure she had her nails painted, makeup on, and her hair fixed up. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.  

Margie is survived by her daughter, Teresa Ann Pauley; one granddaughter, Tara Marr and husband Nick; one grandson, Evan-Vera Monjay; one great granddaughter, Milani Marr; sister -in- law, one step brother, and three step sisters by her father Winsel Mckinzie, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Winsel and Lillian McKinzie; step father, James Raper; one son Todd Pauley; one sister, Fonda Messer (nee: Raper); one aunt, Violet Kazzee (nee: Sinks) and one nephew, Scott Wayne Christman.
