George R. Flores passed away at 75 years old on July 19, 2020, after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Diana Flores, and his children George Flores (Georgie), Timmy Flores, and Diandra Flores. His grandchildren Jordan, Eric, Ashley, Albert, Joshua, and Isabel.
He was born in Crystal City, Texas and moved to California around the age of 5. He grew up in Cupertino, Ca. and graduated from Cupertino High School, and briefly studied business and accounting at Foothill College.
He devoted 20 years at National Can as a production supervisor. He then perfected his craft as a cement mason and was honored with 30 years of service from the Cement Mason Union local 400.
He loved his family, vacationing in Mexico and Las Vegas. He kept active by working out, practicing yoga, playing computer games, and watching sports. Smiling and eating home cooked meals were the simple pleasures he enjoyed. He was proud of his family and his home in Gilroy.
George's infectious smile and personality will be missed dearly by his family and friends but he is in a better place, free from pain, and is at eternal peace.
We have received many flowers, we still love the cards and messages or if you’d like to make a donation for the funeral we have a Venmo account @Diana-Flores-253

Diana, I would like to express my sincere condolences to you and the entire Flores Family for this heartbreaking loss. May the sweet memories you shared bring you comfort in knowing how blessed you were to share 43 years together in marriage, and in knowing what a wonderful wife/partner you were. I will always remember when you dedicated and lip-sinked the words to Gladys Knight's, "You're the Best Thing that's Ever Happened to Me", never taking your eyes of George. He is now joined with his mother and brother Juan in Heavenly peace. Sending you much love in this difficult time❤❤

I only knew George through my friendship with his daughter Diandra. But, I can say without a doubt that he and Diana gave Diandra the family unit full of unconditional love and support that helped her turn into the smart, courageous, adventurous, grounded, beautiful, and fun-loving woman that she is today. In the end, kids are a true testimony to our lives. With Diandra, there is no doubt that he did it right! Much love to you Diandra and to your Mom and all your family in the days, weeks, and years to come. Love never dies.
