Deane Armour, age 80, of Montezuma, died Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at his residence in Montezuma. Deane was born November 22, 1944, in Piqua to the late Deane Ballinger & Irene (Beams) Armour. On June 14, 1969, he married Sandra (Mears) Armour. Sandy survives at their home in Montezuma.
Deane is also survived by his two sons and their wives, David Emerson & Ida Armour, and Russell Thomas Deane & Robin Armour, nine grandchildren: Trevor, Vance, Tyler, Deane, Lillian, Rayden, Laylah, Dustin, and Jade, and great grandchildren: Nilie, Addilyn, Nolan, and Ellie, and in-laws: Dixie & Bill Davies, Debbie & Adrian Wenning.
In addition to his parents, Deane is preceded in death by a sister, Susan Armour Tesno, a brother-in-law James Tesno.
Deane was an avid outdoorsman and was very active in many organizations over the years. He served as Chair and Treasurer of the Grand Lake Ducks Unlimited. He was a member of South Shore Sportsman’s Club, League of Ohio Sportsman’s Club, and Celina Moose. Deane was a founder of Coonskin West and enjoyed fishing in many places such as South Carolina, Florida, Waterway Camp, Canada, Lake Michigan with Butch, Reelfoot, Tennessee, Idaho, Grand Lake, Washington State, and Michigan.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm on Tuesday, September 2, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater. A private family burial will take place in the Veterans Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. Condolences for the family may be expressed in person or online at hogenkampfh.com.

The first time I met him I liked him. Such a good personality and down to earth. Except when we where jumping out of perfectly good airplanes together back in the day and heading back to Mother Earth. My prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends.

Sandy and family, we are so sorry to hear of Dean´s passing. He was a great guy and so glad I got to visit with him a few weeks back.
