Bradley Kent Williams was born on July 9, 1946 to Kenneth and Verna (Schmidt) Williams in
Triumph, Minnesota. He grew up on the family farm outside of Welcome where he attended
Welcome High School. In 1963 he was united in marriage to Diane Nutt in Fairmont, Minnesota
and three children were born to this union, Terry, Corey and Jody. Brad and his family moved to
rural Trimont where he began working for Potter Farms. On June 11, 1983 Brad was united in
marriage to Connie Baumgart at Waverly Lutheran Church. Together Brad and Connie raised
their daughter Jennifer. Brad farmed in Waverly Township for the Potter’s until his health forced
him to retire after fifty three years. Brad greatly enjoyed being on the farm, “if it wasn’t red you
better leave in the shed” he would always say. Brad was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed going
hunting with his family and friends. He also loved to spend time up north as well with many
family vacations fishing. Morning coffee at Potter’s Corner was a tradition for Brad and several
area farmers to collaborate and talk about weather and grain prices.
Brad was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Welcome MN. He was also a member
of the Waverly Lutheran Church in rural Trimont, MN.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Williams of Welcome, MN; son, Terry (Shelley) Williams of
Albertville, MN; two daughters, Jody (Todd) Jordan of Winnebago, MN, Jennifer (Bradey)
Schmidt of Welcome, MN: ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Chuck (Mary

I knew Brad Williams, my first kindergarten friend all the way through elementary and high school. When I lived in town, Brad on farm south of Welcome, we played together, laughed, went to parties in high school. Brad was a friend, a farmer, and a good soul to everyone. Brad will be missed and remembered.

Our sympathy goes out to you Connie and the whole family. We had so much fun with Brad well shooting trap in the summer. The fun we had at the gun club and when we went to state Trapshoot.
