Maddie and I send our heart-felt condolences to you all on your father“s death. Tenick was a major figure in the Masterton community, was well known in birdwatching circles, and in later years began a notable career as an author of reminiscence, anecdote and family history. I have all of his books on the shelf beside me. Maddie says she found an immediate engagement with Dennison tribe by reading them.
Tenick was always great company, a real conversationalist, and of course was the designer and builder of the famous coffin. We will miss him, the last of his generation.
Love and best wishes

I know you could not live forever but it was still a shock when I learnt of your death. You were a great doctor to my parents & brother. You became a friend and even a pall bearer at my father's funeral. I was thrilled when you chose to live in the Wairarapa Masonic Village while I was Manager there. You gave much to the village community. Of course you will be missed by your family and close friends. I wish them strength to carry on with the love you all had for each other.

I had wonderful times shared with Tenick at Henley Lake. Morning teas arriving with Janet Dennison, with her basket and muffins, and shared under the trees. Your work is a legacy for Masterton Tenick. You will be missed.

My sincere condolences to the family. Tenick was a special man and a very good friend. I was an original member of the Probus writing group and spent many happy hours listening to his brilliant stories. We shared several years as neighbours in the Masonic Village before I moved to Hawkes Bay and quite often had a "four o'clock cheers". I last phoned Tenick on his birthday and he told me he had just written a third letter to Donald Trump and would send me a copy. Sadly it didn't arrive but I am sure it was just as humourous and relevant as the previous two.
Tenick was a real gentleman and will be very much missed. Mary Ashford.
