Shirley-Anne was so generous with her time for Dancers and did love being over in EDINBURGH where she got me 2 good seats, which in the end we couldn't use as my friend had broken her ankle adjacent to Hadrians Wall. However, seats for the handicapped were secured for us and duly used. My friend could see but a veteran took up a lot of space occluded my view.
I was always sorry that with the death of earlier NZ Dance officials, those current officials, when I tried to get their endorsement to add to what I had rec'd from Scotland, they would not provide. My memory of the appropriate detailing words required some 18 to 20 years ago when I was looking to get Shirley-Anne an honour elude me, just like I often now search for names and numbers I have known well.
I will miss Shirley-Anne's contribution to the Scottish Interest Group Of VUW.
My condolences at this time
Sincerely
JOY McNicoll
