Robert BROCKIE Obituary
Slipped away peacefully at Sevenoaks Retirement Village, Paraparaumu, on 1 May 2025, aged 93 years. Loving husband of Galya, and much loved brother of Barbara and the late Janet. Wonderful and much loved father of Katie, John, Landy, Gabriella, and Adam. Proud and loving grandfather and great-grandfather. Thanks to the staff and carers at Sevenoaks. In accordance with Bob's wishes, a private cremation has been held. A memorial to celebrate his extraordinarily rich life will be held in the future, time and date to be advised.

Dear Bob Brockie was the most genial. the cleverest and most informed man I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Not only was he a scientist of high repute, but he could take up any musical instrument and make it work. No doubt, if he had put his mind to it, he could have been an outstanding and highly original artist. I am only one of hundreds of people, I imagine, who would love to buy a book of his thoughts and cartoons, should there ever be such a publication. It would be a total treasure.
