Ian WOOD Obituary

On January 29, 2025, at Addington Gardens, aged 95 years after a brief illness. Dearly loved husband of Patricia Sullivan until her death in 1989 and of Patricia Morris until her death in 2020; much loved father and father-in-law of Malcolm, Alan and Sharee and Colin and Linda; and cherished grandad of Eleanor, Caitlin, Justin and Hamish; and great-grandfather of Sonny. Ian had a distinguished career in civil engineering at University of Canterbury College of Engineering, retiring as Professor Emeritus, and will be fondly remembered by his many colleagues and students. Thank you to the staff of Addington Gardens for his care. A celebration of Ian's life will be held at upstairs at the Ilam Homestead, 87 Ilam Rd, Ilam, on February 7, at 2.00pm.
