To Neville's family I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Neville. I have only just found out he is no longer with us. I had the good fortune to meet him when he was flying DC3 ZK-AWO out of Woodbourne in Blenheim and top dressing over D'Urville Island. He owned a Fiat Bambina and I was selling cars for a local Suzuki agent in Blenheim and thought Neville might like to buy a Suzuki Alto as it was small enough to fit in the fuselage of a C47. He came in to Woodbourne to reload and I was waiting. He leaned out the cockpit window and said come up to the cockpit. I did as instructed and he asked if I shut the door and I said no. Well you better shut it and come and sit in the right seat which I did as instructed, Now!! he said what can I do for you, my name is Neville. I said Id come to sell him a car. Ok he said she is loaded so we are away. This wasn't what I had in mind but it was Magic. On the runway with the dack yelling I think I can with 6 ton of powder in the hopper heading for D'urville Island. I also knew the Moleta's from the Island. He did his first run and at the end I couldn't believe the turn he did so he could see where his load was falling with the wind. Anyway we spread the load and headed back to Woodbourne and Wow what a pilot this man was. We flew back over Havelock through the valley to Woodbourne to land for another load. Neville decided he would stay with his Fiat Bambina and not buy the new Suzuki but he thanked me for my time in the nicest way anyone could ever do. He was an absolutely delight to be with and this experience with Neville has stayed with me as one of the most wonderful experiences with possibly the nicest man I have ever meat in my life. I am now 74 years old and this will stay with me until my dying day. A gentleman, a bloody good pilot and such an amazing man. I haven't seen Neville again but he has been in my mind many times as I love aircraft. I too will miss the fact he is not here. RIP Neville WORSLEY the kindest man I have ever met. My condolences go out to all Neville's family. This picture is at Woodbourne airport.

To Nevilles family, I am sincerely saddened to learn of Nevilles last flight into the eternal sunset. My grandson & I met him several years ago at TATATM where we purchased his book which he signed for us. Twice since, we've met him and he always enjoyed showing us more avionic history and talked about restoring the Harvard. Shall be very much missed.

My sympathy to you Leone and your family on the sad passing of Neville. I will always have fond memories of the great times we had learning to fly at the Stratford aerodrome. You were in Rotorua the last time I caught up with you. Kindest Regards.

Condolences to you Leone and your family on Neville's' passing. My close friendship began in the late 1950's/ early 1960's when both learning to fly at the Stratford and New Plymouth Aero Clubs. The days of chasing each other ,be in a tiger moth or piper cub around Taranaki skies are well gone.
