Winston MISKELLY Obituary

Win was my very first employer as an apprentice fitter and turner at Tasman Engineering. He was a professional mechanical engineer of the highest caliber, and I was privileged to have him mentor me straight from school at age 17. Sorry to hear of your loss. He was community focused and charitable the whole time I worked under his tutelage.

Sad to read today that old friend Win Miskelly has passed on. I rowed with Win when he was stroke of the West End Rowing Club Junior 8. We won the NZ Championship Junior 8 race on the Oreti River, Invercargill in 1956, and at other regattas we competed in that season. As the W.E.R.C. song records "To go on but not forgotten by the rest".

Sad hearing that another Scout has Gone Home.
