THOMSON, William Vaughan (Vaughan). Peacefully at Te Rangimarie Hospice, New Plymouth on Saturday 4 November 2017, aged 77. Loved and devoted husband of Gay. Eldest son of Bill and Olive (both deceased). Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Darryl (deceased) and Valerie, Arlene Chinnery-Brown (deceased), Wayne and Gwen, Lynton and Val, Denise and Clive Walton, and Margaret Doyle. Loved uncle of his many nieces and nephews. Reunited with his beloved pets Monty and Batman. Sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at Hospice Taranaki for their exceptional care of Vaughan. In lieu of flowers a donation to Hospice Taranaki would be appreciated and may be left at the service. All messages C/- Eagars Funerals, PO Box 75, Stratford 4352. A celebration of Vaughan's life will be held at Eagar's Te Henui Chapel, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth on Thursday 9 November at 11am, followed by his burial at Awanui Cemetery. What a great man and a privilege to have known Vaughan. A shock to hear of his death. His absolute dedication to Gay and friendliness and helpfulness to others was incredible to watch. Condolences to the family, I know he will be a void in many people's lives.

Words can't express how much we will miss you. You were always a huge part of my life and now you were the adopted grandfather of my two kids, both who will miss you terribly.
