William STEVENS Obituary

Just heard the sad news of Doctor Bill's passing. He was our much trusted and loved family doctor from 1974 untill we returned to the UK in 1988. He delivered our son James at home in Remmers in 1979. An amazing man who we adored. A true gentleman and a scholar. RIP Bill xxx

I was very young when Dr Stevens was our family GP, but my abiding memory will always be of a kind man who gave out lots of jelly beans from a large jar on his desk! Our thoughts are with you and your family. Much aroha.

Dr Bill Steven´s was our Family GP for many years, he was a great Doctor, so thoughtful and Compassionate too. A lovely man who was good to us all. Deepest sympathy to his family. Monica Thomas and family.

From 1989 until Bill's last few years I maintained his grounds, trimmed his hedges, cleaned his roof gutters, among other tasks that I enjoyed. He was always very grateful. We had common interests to discuss during breaks and his knowledge and wisdom was much appreciated. I miss his company greatly.

Dr Bill Stevens was my GP for many years, and is remembered because of his thoroughness, thoughtfulness and humour in his Practice when he was in Remuera. A great man who often spoke about his family in the 1970s and 1980s during the time as my family doctor. Sincere thoughts to his wonderful family.
