William OSBORNE Obituary

We both owe so much to Bill's teaching - he inspired us, made us laugh, and instilled a deep love of the Old Testament in us. We feel privileged and blessed to have been on the receiving end of Bill's wisdom, gentle wit and warm friendship over the years. Our love and prayers for Beatrice and family - may the Lord carry each of you in the coming days and may Bill's own deep faith continue to encourage you and spur you on.

Love and prayers to Beatrice and family from Bronwyn and me, may you know the comfort of the God of all comfort. Bill was, teacher, colleague, and friend to me. He inspired my Old Testament journey, supervised Master's research and offered so many insights into the OT, particularly linguistic ones. With it all that he maintained a strong commitment to his faith. He has reached his rest.

Bronnie and I are sending our love to Beatrice and family on the sad news of Bill's passing. We remember so clearly when you all first arrived at BCNZ and stayed in the family flat next to us while awaiting Staff accommodation. Then Bill taught so well, especially about the OT prophets. What a wonderful friends and neighbor Bill and Beatrice were for many, many years. He will surely be remembered fondly by a whole lot of people, especially those he worked with. My feelings go to Karen & Rachael.
