William Oakden Obituary

OAKDEN, William Nicholas (Nick). Rgt No: 185634, Private, Infantry 21st Battalion, RNZEF. On Wednesday 11 May, 2011. Peacefully in his 93rd year at Aparangi Care Centre, Te Kauwhata. Dearly loved husband of Jean. Loved and respected father and father-in-law of John and Pam, Rob and Erana, Graeme and Christine (deceased), Colin and Colleen, Malcolm and Helen, Allan and Suzanne, Kevin and Sue and Peter and Lynn. loved grandad to many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff of Aparangi Care Centre and St John. A Service for Nick will be held at the St Margaret's Anglican Church, Waerenga Road, Te Kauwhata on Saturday 14 May at 11.00am to be followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Aparangi Residential Care Unit would be appreciated and can be posted to PO Box 31, Te Kauwhata or left at the service.
