Bill was official photographer for James Aviation Ltd. and had a long involvement covering many events and aircraft and helicopter types over the years.
I met him again many years later when we were both members of Hamilton East Toastmasters.
At that time he kindly lent me several boxes of his aviation archives for me to select some for research I was doing into JAL history.
As others have already stated, a truly wonderful guy in every respect and one who I was proud to know for those brief periods.

Bill was such a gentleman. I have lovely memories of his baking bread and making and serving us coffee with care and dignity! His attention to excellence in photography was his passion and I am fortunate to have had Bill take our portrait. He also spotted my parent's wedding photo which was deteriorating and digitally enhanced it; a fine copy now sits on our piano. Such a lovely way to remember him.
Yvonne, Mark and Fiona, and all the family, you are in our thoughts at this time. With our condolences, Rosie and Richard

Meeting Bill was a true privilege, a fantastic and wonderfully kind gentleman whom I will always remember. It was wonderful having the opportunity to work with him and learn from him on a number of projects over the years. I am sorry I will not be able to attend his service, I send my condolences for Mark and the whole family.

Bill Lindberg took many, many photos of Hamilton Operatic Society productions over the years. I have many in a photo album of those happy days. He was a brilliant photographer capturing the joy and excitement of the big shows we did. I remember him always as a consummate professional, talented and kind.

As a photographic representative in the 1970s, I had the privilege of working with Bill during some of the most formative years of my career. He was an extraordinarily gifted portrait and commercial photographer; a true craftsman whose eye, discipline and artistry set a standard many aspired to.
Yet what made Bill truly special was not just his professional brilliance, but the man himself. He was unfailingly kind, thoughtful, and generous with his time. He carried a warm sense of humour and treated everyone; clients, colleagues, and young reps like me with respect and encouragement.
Bill was also ahead of his time. He was one of the first established professionals to embrace digital photography, he mastered it with the same excellence that defined all his work, becoming one of NZ´s finest digital photographers.
Above all else, Bill was a Good Man.
Our love and deepest sympathy to Yvonne and all of Bill´s family.
