William BRUNT Obituary

BRUNT, William Garry (Gary). Passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully in his sleep at home on 17 December 2025. Much beloved partner of Wendy. Adored father and father-in-law of Rachel and Joe, Tracey and William and cherished Grandad of Isaiah, Sam and Charlie. Dearly loved brother of Donald, John (deceased), Gloria, Joy, Marlene and Ian and their families. Gary was a special man and a lifetime learner who always made time for everyone. He contributed so much to so many within the farming, flying, motor sport and local communities. A service to celebrate Gary's life will be held at St George the Martyr Anglican Church, 600 Mackay Street, Thames on Monday 29 December at 11.00am, followed by burial at Totara Memorial Park Cemetery. Family flowers only please, or in lieu, donations appreciated to The Heart Foundation NZ.

My sincere condolences to Wendy and the wider Brunt family.
A big thank you, Gary, for the many laughs we've shared over the years.
I still remember our many badminton duals - happy, fun times that will stay with me always.
Thank you Gary, for also being adventurous and never afraid to try something new. The world has truly been a better place with you in it.
Rest in peace my friend

Murray & Trish offer their sincere condolences to the Brunt family regarding Gary's passing. I know the Brunt siblings are a tight- knit family, & the pain will be real. Let's hope our next get together will be celebrating happier times.
Unfortunately we will be unable to attend Gary's service. All the best for that day.

His kindness, strength, and presence left a lasting mark on my life, and I know I am only one of many who feel this profound loss. Please know that even those who knew him from afar are grieving alongside you and holding you close in our thoughts and prayers.
May you find comfort in the love he gave, the memories you share, and the many lives he touched. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
