You were a couple of years ahead of me at the Marist Brothers in Gisborne. Thanks for all the great organising of the 2019 school reunion. RIP.

Bede, Great to meet you again in the last 12 months and share the good times at Hillsborough in the 1960's and 70's. Bede was an inspiration to us all. My sympathy to the family. Rest in Peace.

I was very sorry to hear of Bede's passing. I knew Bede through Maungakikie Rotary Club. He was a lovely gentleman with a great sense of humour. My thoughts and condolences go to his family.

I have many "happy" memories of Bede breezing into our house with me feeling some trepidation as it was time for the handover of the Auckland Star money collection from the Hayr Road round - and I never could get the balance right. Needless to say he would tease me relentlessly. But there was always a twinkle in his eye and you knew that in the end it was all fine. Bede gave the world lots of cheer and fun with a good balance of compassion and empathy for others. We will miss him.

Dear families, very sad to hear we have lost Bede. However I am sure there will be a spot for him to organize reunions, armchair referee and record golfing ventures with "Guinness". Love to all.

Bede You were my greatest friend in Gisborne. We played great rugby but you ran all over me. We. Played tennis at our home court and after 5 sets it was 3 to you and 2 to me. You sold me Hibernian life policies when i was as Woolworths Lower Hutt and you have been a real inspiration to me. I hope to see you in Heaven very soon
