To the Brennan family,

Our condolences to you all, in your time of need.

I met Jimmy last week in north shore hospital while we were waiting to have our scan in Radiology Dept, he is quite a character, so full of life, joking and laughing all the time, even through his breathlessness lol .......

The next day my son was also admitted to hospital while I was still in there from my appendix operation, and lo and behold who should be his room mate? None other than Jimmy Brennan lol .........

We shared stories, jokes and looked out the windows from level 10 at the beautiful pupuke lake and surrounding views

On his last night, my family and I including my son Dylan, Jimmy's room mate visited with Jimmy when he got transfered into a single room on the other side of the ward

He had his own TV and as usual we were having a good old time talking and joking around and Jimmy told us he wanted a choc bikie with his coffee, so off we went downstairs to the vending machine to get him choc cookies

Unfortunately Jimmy couldn't eat his bikies as he was quite out of breath, but he told us to come early the next morning as we were going to have a party in his room lol .......
He also wanted me to buy him some KFC and a bottle of Coke lol .......

We spent more time with Jimmy that night before we said our farewell and a promise to see him the next day

On arrival to the ward the next day, we were told by our son that Jimmy has passed away that morning :(
Needless to say we were very sad of the news, but yet felt very privillage to have known the man "JIMMY BRENNAN"

Hopefully we brought a lit bit of happiness to Jimmy while we knew him for the littlest of time, because he certainly brought lots of smiles on our faces lol ......

So from our family 'THE CALDWELL CLAN" to "THE BRENNAN CLAN"
God bless and be with you at your time of need!

Kia Kaha!
