William AMBLER Obituary

AMBLER, William Seth. 21 May 1931 - 2 July 2023 Passed away at North Shore Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Treasured husband of Yvonne and much loved Father and Father in Law of Craig (deceased), Sean and Sandi, Brent and Debbie and John and Sheryn. Respected and loved Poppa to Brad (deceased), Stevi, Cameron, Hamish, Duncan, Annika, Ari, Alex, Luke, Josh and Holly. Loved brother and uncle of Dawn and John Metcalfe and family. Respected and revered by his many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the wonderful care from the doctors and nurses at NSH Ward 11. A Celebration of Bill's life will be held at Mairangi Bay Presbyterian Church, Hastings Road at 2pm on Tuesday 4 July then the following day a brief committal and interment at 1pm on 5 July at Waiotemarama Cemetery, Main Highway, Waimamaku, followed by refreshments at the Waimamaku Hall. To Yvonne and family. My sincere sympathy to you all at this sad time. Rest assured that you will meet again in God's kingdom. Bill was a true gentleman. I remember him coming to visit my Dad, not long after my Mum's passing, just talking and spending the time while his workers put in a Kent fireplace for him. May your memories help comfort you. I was told of Bill's passing at our Show meeting at Waimate. I missed it in the paper .I am so sorry . My thought are with you all. At times like this Auckland does seem so far away. I have many memories of you all in Kaikohe. He has not been forgotten. Tradesmen like Bill are hard to find these days. regards Dot Johnson
