Dear Bill
You will always hold a special place in our hearts. With your wit & dry sense of humour you made us feel right at home. We only spent eight years in NZ but you certainly left an impression on us. You had your own eclectic style & ways and you never changed for anyone, and nor should you!!
Thinking of Julie & the boys & all the lovely family at this time

Bill and I first met as 9 yr old junior grade Rugby players at the North Shore club and maintained contact through Rugby and University as young men. Bill had a special way of quietly making friends. He was "good guy" . I could not attend the celebration of Bill´s life today (a recent knee operation) so I give my best wishes and condolences to all of the family. Rest in peace Bill.

Bill, we will miss you at all the social times in Mt Albert and Waihi Beach with friends and family, always with your uniform on (shorts , jandals and t-shirt) . Your dry sense of humor was great and you always had a comment at the appropriate time. Its hard to believe you have departed. Our love goes to Julie, Simon, Rebecca, Charlotte and Felix , James and Lana, RIP XXX

Uncle Bill,
You were a beautiful God Father to Toby and I. There for all the major milestones and the small ones with a kind and thoughtful word and calming presence.
We will miss you and your quiet fun charm but you will never be forgotten. Especially when we share stories of Uncle Bill with our little Will.
All our love always,
Kim, Ross, Olivia, Alice and William

It´s a summers day in Waihi. Bill in his jandals, stubbie shorts and Gundry tee. Bills idea of a thermometer when cooking butterfly lamb on bbq was 6 Heinekens and the was lamb done. We loved your sense of humour Bill and the 3 Amigo´s in their finest hour. Love to Julie and family. Paul and Vicky xx

I was in Bill's class for 3 years at Westlake. We were the top class but Bill was pleasantly normal and slightly unusual that I liked. I didn't like his meanness at PE though. We started every session with a run down to and around the lower sports fields. I always saw this as my chance to excel by starting really fast and leading all the way. Didn't happen, I was ALWAYS passed just before the end. Thanks Bill. I can see remembering him with a tree. Or a pair of jandals.

ALDRIDGE, Bill. Much loved brother-in-law, Uncle and friend of the Duncan family. A kind hearted and gentle man who will be sorely missed by us all and the extended Mt Albert Mafia.
