So lucky to have got to know Wendy through the home we purchased. I was lucky enough to catch up with her most days - even if just by passing. Me and my kids loved watching her out with the cows, riding around on her farm bike and her love of slashing the paddocks. Last year I watched her mow the front paddock to absolute perfection in serious heat, after one of her chemo sessions- it took her most of the day - absolutely nothing stopped her. Not heat, sickness, anything. She celebrated life everyday and was a wonderful inspiration for me and my kids. One of her favorite seasons was autumn as the farm just bursts with gorgeous colours from all the trees she planted. Thank you for all your kindness Wendy - you imprinted me with your 'Wendy magic' the moment I met you! and My deepest condolences to Mike, Erin and Matt.

My heartfelt thoughts are extended to the whanau of Wendy at this time of loss.
I met Wendy when I became Principal of Wainui School, where she was Deputy Principal. Wendy was the heart and soul of that school.
While Principals came and went, she was the constant at Wainui, providing leadership and love to the pupils, staff and families.
Her students loved her, and her guidance and care for the senior students in particular, helped set them up for their future.
Wendy gave her all, for so many, and for so long.
Thank you and Rest in Peace.

Dear Wendy
I will always remember your smile and your wicked sense of humour. You could tell such far fetched stories with the straightest expression on your face. We were never sure - and you caught us out so many times!
Your work is done here now, Wendy. You will be missed
Rest in peace.
Our sincere condolences to Mike, Matt, Erin and their families.

Wendy was an amazing, special person. She taught my eldest daughter how to thrive, be strong, and tough but also to embrace her femininity, to stick up for herself, and that learning can be fun. She taught her how to be a leader! Attributes that have moulded her into a successful adult. Forever grateful to you Wendy for helping me raise my 3 girls. Sending much love to all the family. Enormous loss to the community. Love from the Smith family.

Wendy was the most awesome teacher to work with. I first met her as a beginning teacher at Whangaparaoa Primary. She was always approachable and would guide and help me when needed. I was then lucky enough to teach with her again at Wainui Primary. I'll always remember her smile and her love for life. Thinking of her family during this sad time.

Always enjoyed my conversations with Wendy when she was out walking Oscar & Mckenzie. She was always interesting to chat with and interested. She never mentioned she was not feeling well. What a lovely lady that I will miss on my dog walks around Red Beach xoxo Becks and Rusty King

Wendy is the one teacher whose impression and impact on me has lasted and lasted. Even as a kid I knew she was a special person. I still remember her laugh. In fact, anytime I think of Wainui School, I hear it in my mind, and see her kind, slightly cheeky smile. The last time I saw Wendy was several years ago; she was just finishing up a session with a personal trainer, pumping iron - and somehow I wasn´t even surprised! She was as energetic and vibrant as ever. I will always remember her that way.
Mrs Taylor - thank you for being you. You were, by far, the most important teacher in my childhood. So many of us were so lucky to know you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Wendy was truly an inspirational lady who approached life with such zest and positivity, it radiated out and inspired others.
