Wendy HUGHES Obituary

HUGHES, Wendy Leigh. We are sad to announce that Wendy lost her battle with cancer on Sunday 7th September 2025, aged 60. Loved daughter of Graham and Ruth Hughes. Sister and sister-in-law of Ron, Joanne, Garry and Helen, Rob, David and Karen, Teena and Karl, Michael and Michelle. Loved mother of Bradley and grandmother of five. A memorial service to celebrate Wendy's life will be held on Friday 19th September at 1pm at Revive Church, 3 James Bright Lane Waiuku.

40 years of friendship, travelling with the gypsy fairs, numerous houses that we have shared renting and then started dating your younger brother making you Aunty to my children xo 2022 we spent time going to the Super Clinic for tests and I was with you when you got your diagnosis, I gasped, you were calm, I asked you on the way home, how were you calm, you replied, you knew your body, and knew it felt different. Your sisters Joanne and Teena took over from there, as I can't handle hospitals. You understood, you always knew this of me. You be all our guardian angel now, and be with "Your God" as you always called him. Love you Wendy xo
