The abiding memory I have of Wayne was as a handsome teenager waxing his surfboard and listening to Jethro Tull.
After that last family visit to Christchurch our paths rarely crossed over the years. My occasional visits with Uncle Pat and Aunty Marysia would be filled with bits of news and a sense of the pride they felt in their eldest son.
I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to Wayne's family for their untimely loss. I hope his blessed life and achievements will be celebrated and help carry his loved ones through this most difficult of times.

A great business man and a person I truly respected for advice and lengthy banter of all things, who I had pleasure in knowing well for over 30 years, common fishing and boating interests and the intrigues of family life were discussed over a coffee and something stronger from time to time but not often enough.
