My memories and involvement with Roy date back t6o 1998 when I arrived from the UK to take on the leadership of the Opus Architecture business. Roy very quickly impressed me as a highly competent technical cornerstone of the Auckland based team. He was much sort after by architects for contribution to their own projects and often to be seen with young graduates passing on the benefits of his own experience and knowledge. He was a wonderful team player, diligent, reliable, patient and simply great to have around. Maggie and I got to know Dorothy at numerous social events and after many years of happy marriage and family life we know that Roy will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Dorothy and your extended family.

I knew Roy for all of the more than 22 years I worked for Works Consultancy Services and then Opus, he was a good man, a kind man, a very skilled professional who worked diligently alongside his colleagues and would help anyone. He had a ready smile, a great sense of humour and I can see him smiling now in my mind's eye as my abiding memory of him. He will be missed by all who knew him, he was one of the best. A great loss to family and friends.
