Warren is, has, and always will be one of my favourite childhood & life-long friends Growing up bordering a beautiful reserve, our meeting place, our playground, we had so many amazing experiences together! Warren's passion and art for war, uniforms, models and costumes began very young and lasted his life time. I remember how proud he was when he completed his first soldiers jacket, possibly a German one, (though that was many years ago so I'm not 100% sure) wearing it around the neighbourhood with his huge proud beautiful smile! I was always so impressed by his skills and winning attitude! When he completed an entire uniform, again he wore it around the neighbourhood, ever so proudly. There were weapons, armory, models and all manner of things he always had to show us and tell us about. As an adult he continued being uniquely Warren, often surprising me, with one of the funnest things was privy to, was being a guest at his wedding, a wedding like no other, of course! Wizards, swords, arches and fire, such a magical time! His work on LOR was so admired, he was invited to England to speak. I really encouraged him to jump at the opportunity, though I think it was a bit scary for him, and he didn't go, though again, was really proud of the recognition Eventually I discovered he was working in a costume and props company, and I knew Warren had found his 2nd home, and I was so happy for him and would visit him at work from time to time. I hadn't seen Warren in a couple of years, life and covid ... I'm really sad now that I'll never get to see him again He truly was one of a kind and such an awesome guy who I loved like a Brother Til we meet again Warren, I love you

Warren was a very talented armourer in his day, his work is still being used in NZ. He will long be remembered. Thoughts with the family.
