Our family especially our children have the most amzing fond memories of Wally when we lived in SImpson Lane in Matamata - when the children were very small 2-3 years they used to take bottles of milk to their house and Shirley or Wally would make milk shakes for them - it was so cute. Sincere condolences to Shirley and family he was a true gentleman.

Condolences Shirley and family.
Wally and family visited our family regularly at our Matakawau bach on the Manukau and became part of the "Brown Camping" ground in the 1970s, always happy and enjoyed fishing with his uncle Pip, my Dad.
Happy memories with their kids.

I´ve known Wally since 1972 when I transferred to the Manurewa Police Station, then a 5 man station. Wally, you were a true gentleman and a great guy to work with. We shared many laughs, many work related. The Manurewa police car, 1354, was NEVER dirty when Wally was working. And as for his own pride and joy, the brown and cream Chrysler Valiant, (about 1970 model), it was ALWAYS immaculate, spotless, inside and out. RIP Wally.
Shirley, it was so great that you and Wally, after moving back to Auckland, could reconnect with us all at our SAP morning teas in recent times.
Our best regards Shirley and to the family.
